Jaretta Copeland, A Portrait of Dedication to Humanity

Let me tell you a story about Jaretta Copeland who I knew in Nashua, NH.  She was originally from Brooklyn, NY who was a single parent of two children. She was on public assistance and decided that this was not the example to set for her children. She moved to a primarily white State and worked for the USPS under a Federal program. She earned her Associates Degree in Human Services and became the Director of the Nashua Soup Kitchen as well as the Nashua Drop-In Center. She believed that it was not sufficient just to feed the poor. Obviously, the look of the poor then in Nashua was basically white families.  She not only led to bring in food to feed the poor but also acquired clothes as well as found shelter for them. She worked closely with the people attending the soup kitchen to be fed and she eventually nourished their spirits. I remember many times we would pick up the homeless and deliver them to the kitchen. She arranged to gain care for the sick, and helped them to find work.  After a while, there were less people at the kitchen.  The customers became the workers. She became an advocate for children and families.  She spoke up with the truth when it was not popular to be spoken.  Eventually the soup kitchen dwindled in numbers as she assisted them in becoming useful members of society.   Eventually, the members of the Soup Kitchen became the workers of the Soup Kitchen and helped others as they remembered so well of their experiences.  Some of them were found jobs hundreds of miles away.  She arranged transportation and a place to stay to get them started.  It got to a point that the homeless were trucked from other areas in so that Jaretta could help them.  She had the knack to get others to assist her. I remember one time I spent 24 hours with a woman and took shifts with 3 others including Jerry Durante to make sure the woman did not stick a needle in her before she entered a drug treatment facility. The woman is now a substance abuse counselor.  I remembered one time; she had helped two separate people get off assistance of the soup kitchen and started a new life together. I was the Justice of the Peace at their wedding.  I think that she should be nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize. We need more people like this. I believed that she also changed the way NH people, at least some, may have viewed black people. She was a pioneer for the human spirit.

On numerous occasions she had saved the lives of many people met with misfortune. As you see in one of the attached articles, she was nominated for Person of the Year for saving a human life. I believe she should be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.  At one time, she saved the life of a young male who later became a fire fighter. Some years later, that person dramatically saved 3 children. The children became homeless. The fire fighters family adopted the three children so that the children would not have been separated from each other. I pulled up these articles which I had saved some years ago.  The last time I spoke with her was four years ago. She has continued to be driven to be a supporter for family and especially children. It is people like her that make life what it ought to be.

JACQUES WIESEL VS ELIE WIESEL

JACQUES WIESEL VS ELIE WIESEL
Marc Gagnon, photographic artist, recently did a photographic art collage that defines the life of Jacques Wiesel, Writer, Motivational Speaker, Sales Trainer and Humanitarian. Jacques Wiesel recently published a book which is his autobiography. The name of the book is 9 Knockdowns 5 Miracles. Jacques is a holocaust survivor although he has never spent time in a concentration camp. His family luckily had a strong feeling to flee Brussels before it was too late. Jacques Wiesel escaped to America where he landed on Ellis Island. The photographic art piece that Gagnon created is actually on the back cover of his cover while Mr. Wiesel’s cover is a painting that was done by his first wife, Carol Morris.
Here is the link to Jacques Wiesel's recent interview http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4dZhDlKrqLw
Elie Wiesel has been well noted by historians for his brave survival of the imprisonment at a concentration camp.  His life though has been totally defined by that life experience.  He has written books of his experience and retells the story again and again.  Marc Gagnon did another collage entitled THE HOLOCAUST COLLAGE which makes a statement that we as a society should go forward and work discovery and gain strength from our differences. Obviously, Elie Wiesel wants the World not to forget so that the World does not journey down the same path again.
What makes Jacques Wiesel so different is that the Holocaust experience does not totally define his existence.  When he stepped on America soil, he dedicated his life to make this Word a better place. He surpassed all job expectations in sales related jobs. He then began to train others to reach the same results. He has written articles for a number of publications from the Northeast of America to Florida. He has also written four books focused at improving one’s life.  Gagnon was told at his art function in Newport RI by a Mr. Rubenstein that he had met up with a Buster Patrick at a function in Las Vegas. Buster Patrick is an actor who played the character of Eddie Munster of the hit show The Munsters. The show only lasted two years. Some 40 or so years later Buster Patrick’s life is focused on only 2 years of his existence in the past. With regards to Jacques Wiesel, his emphasis is to learn from the past to make you stronger today and to envision the future.  Elie Wiesel’s experience is not being down played by Gagnon but Jacques Wiesel is a person with his vision on the future and not stuck in the past.

Amanda Dobbs the One that Started Photographic Artist Marc Gagnon

Amanda Dobbs the One that Started Photographic Artist Marc Gagnon
Back in 1981, Marc Gagnon had a personal relationship with Amanda Dobbs who was visiting New England from England. She was an artist at the time, actually watercolors, and had a strong interest in English literature.  Gagnon began as friends and slowly developed a romantic relationship. Amanda influenced Gagnon in a profound way. Gagnon purchased his first camera with Amanda Dobbs. The camera was a Minolta XG1 which Gagnon still owns. Gagnon and Amanda Dobbs began going on weekend trips throughout the northeast.
Both Gagnon and Amanda Dobbs were only children and neither of one wanted to move to each other’s country. Amanda was working at the time for the Government of England while Gagnon was working at Nashua Federal Savings Bank as a teller.
Shortly after they broke off, Gagnon started experimenting with portraits, weddings, product photography, and proms. Gagnon eventually got into modeling photography because of a girl he met at John Martin’s Manor IV a past restaurant and bar located in Nashua, NH. From there, he met five other models which Gagnon positioned at top NYC agencies.
This blog though is dedicated to Marc Gagnon’s past friend Amanda Dobbs. Gagnon would never have ventured into photography if it was not for her.   Some years later in Florida, Gagnon met Rhani Jan who was actually friends with Amanda Dobbs while Rhani lived in England. Rhani now works for the City of Sunrise. It is definitely a small world. Below are pictures of Amanda Dobbs.  Rhani Jan is also pictured below with her husband.

A Tale of Two Realities

A Tale of Two Realities

It is the Best of Times and it is the Worst of Times. This quote was taken from the well read novel A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens. That statement applies to the events of today. With the rising of unemployment, an increase in homeless families and especially children, with the continuous saga of the many wars that America is in, we are undergoing unbelievable turmoil.

With the many stresses plaguing the citizens of America, there are many broken people. Many of these people live in communities which essentially there is no community. Communities like Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and South Florida where people come and go with stakes in that area. There are people who are essentially lost. As a result of this, there are many people who have gotten in the inspirational, coaching, and empowerment business. There are some real people but there are some people who are essentially just plain FRAUD. These people also use others to promote their workshops while not paying for the people’s skills that help to make the event. They are vultures in this world that we live in. There are real coaches that are skilled in their respective profession.

I met someone not too long ago through a friend that is one of these types of people. In these times, you should be very careful in associating yourself with such people. MLM (Multi Level Marketing) businesses also prey on people who are lost with great hopes of achieving unbelievable successes. MLMs will make the claim that it is there own business but in reality, they are somewhat controlled in the manner they operate. The person I met is involved in MLM businesses and specifically targets women who are in the MLM business. The people targeted are especially vulnerable.

JACQUES WEISEL AND SAMUEL CLEMENS (MARK TWAIN)

JACQUES WEISEL AND SAMUEL CLEMENS (MARK TWAIN)
Jacques Weisel, a personal coach, coaches people to excel in their business through his substantial life experiences. Mr. Weisel has recently released his new book of his survival of life. He started from an early age at survival.  The first fight was with the Nazis, who up to now have been the most evil armies in the history of mankind.  The book is an autobiography of his life and the many turns and tribulations that one may be faced with during the course of one’s life.
There are times that Mr. Weisel may rub people the wrong way, or rather the right way. His philosophy throughout his life has been to express THE TRUTH, which many people rather not hear. In many ways, Mark Twain, held the same philosophy.  Samuel Clemens AKA Mark Twain, wrote about the real world and the several of obstacles as well as injustices that one may encounter.  He was known for his brash remarks and he is also known for his permanent effect on history.
I see the similarities of both Jacques Weisel and Mark Twain. Today, people talk about the Law of Attraction and the book and movie THE SECRET. Both will contend that there is another law that is of utmost important, THE LAW OF OPPORTUNITY, TO REACH SOMEONE’S POTENTIAL.  At the same time, both of them accept their place and did not see each other as more important than others. In the Law of Opportunity, each of us is approached with opportunities during the course of our lives. We do not listen to others, and then we will never see the opportunities. This happens, when we regard ourselves as much too important and live our lives in desperation and function on the lower levels of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. Someone who continually thinks of money for example is someone that is functioning on this lower plain.
The pictures in this blog are of the following: Jacques Weisel newly published book 9 Knockdowns and 5 Miracles, Jacques Weisel holding his own collage as well as the Mark Twain collage, the Mark Twain collage, the layout of his book, and you will find links to Mark Twain’s quotes.  I have met many people who have stated that they are writing a book. Jacques Weisel did it once again.
On a separate note, I am creating a collage titled TWO WRITERS MEET. It is about the time in history when Mark Twain met up with a bell boy in San Francisco. The bell boy asked for Mark Twain's opinion in what he should write. Mark Twain said "Write What You Know and You Will Be Great." That bell boy was Jack London. The Law of Opportunity shined through for Jack London.

MODELS – WHEN CHOOSING A PHOTOGRAPHER AS YOUR PERSONAL MANAGER

MODELS – WHEN CHOOSING A PHOTOGRAPHER AS YOUR PERSONAL MANAGER
When choosing a photographer as your personal manager, you should first note that a personal manager is someone who will coach you and market you to work in the entertainment industry. They are not an agent.  A personal manager places a model or actor/actress in a better position whereby the agencies will want to sign the talent up into their agency. In order to do this, the following must happen:
1.)    The photographer must know what a model should have in their portfolio. A photographer who shoots weddings, portraits, or just portfolios for money will not know what an agency is looking for.  Choose a photographer who has done actual work in the industry. In other words, a photographer who has actual tear sheets (i.e. published work).
2.)    You should be able to tell that the photographer has worked in the business and has dealt with professional modeling agencies in the past. The photographer should have Agency Books, Head Sheets (oversized posters of the face shots of models printed by the agency), and composite cards.
3.)    The photographer should have professional memberships with photographic associations.
4.)    The photographer should be a member of business membership groups such as chambers of commerce, print industry groups, etc.
5.)    Photographers who promise a lot should have been featured in the news for their accomplishments. News meaning magazines, newspapers, Television, Public TV, or trade publications.
6.)    The photographer/personal manager will create a portfolio for the model comprised of a number of imagines to market the model. From the images, a few images will be used for a composite card which will also have a number of items printed on it such as statistical information of the model’s body (i.e. height, weights, shoe size, dress size, measurements, etc.) and contact information of the personal manager.
7.)    The photographer/personal manager should also be able to get the model/talent some work which not only will be paid but will enhance the model’s marketability by acquiring tear sheets for the model (i.e. proof of work). Tear sheet means that the page was literally torn out of the magazine and placed in the model’s portfolio.
8.)    A good personal manager will prepare the talent for actual work in film such as in commercials, short film, TV spots, monologues, etc. The talent should have a casting tape (now DVD) which would be used for marketing purposes to market the talent.
The cost for the model /talent to a reputable personal manager and photographer is nothing. The photographer / personal manager makes a percentage of what the model/talent makes. A typical professional agency will charge clients a model service fee of 20-35% which is added to the invoice of what is billed for use of the model.
On this blog, you will find samples of agency materials, a link to an actual casting tape featuring one of my past models/talents, and sample ads.  Jacques Weisel and I will be writing a book shortly on the modeling industry with also the view point from the other side, the Model. Amy Vitale will have a chapter giving her view on modeling from the model's perspective.

ESTHER collage AKA TO BE THE ONE

Esther collage
King Ahasuerus held a 180-day feast in Susa (Shoushan). He ordered his queen, Vashti, to appear before him and his guests wearing no veil, which was dishonorable, to display her beauty by only wearing her crown. But when the attendants delivered the king's command to QueenVashti, she refused to come. Furious at her refusal to obey, the king asked his wise men what should be done. One of them said that all the women in the empire would hear that "The king Ahasuerus commanded Vashti the queen to be brought in before him, but she came not." Then the women of the empire would despise their husbands. And this would cause many problems in the kingdom. Therefore it would be good to depose her.

To find a new queen suitable to King Ahasuerus, it was decreed that beautiful young virgins be gathered to the palace from every province of his kingdom. Each woman underwent twelve months of beautification in his harem, after which she would go to the king. When the woman's turn came, she was given anything she wanted to take with her from the harem to the king's palace. She would then go to the king in the evening, and in the morning go to the harem where the concubines stayed. She would not return to the king unless he was pleased enough with her to summon her again by name.

For his wife and queen, King Ahasuerus chose Esther, an orphan raised by her cousin Mordecai, to replace the recalcitrant queen Vashti. Esther was originally named Hadassah, meaning myrtle, and received her name of Esther — a form of the Persian name Satarah, meaning star — when she entered the royal harem.
"Esther 2:7 And he brought up Hadassah, that is, Esther, his uncle's daughter: for she had neither father nor mother, and the maid was fair and beautiful; whom Mordecai, when her father and mother were dead, took for his own daughter." Esther was the daughter of a Benjamite, Abihail. When Cyrus gave permission for the exiles to return unto Jerusalem she stayed with Mordecai.

Shortly, when Mordecai was sitting at the king's gates, he overheard two of the king's officers guarding the gates plotting to assassinate the king. Mordecai let Esther know, and she warned the king about it, and Mordecai was given credit. The two officials were hanged on a gallows.

SUMMARY OF THE STORY-
Marc Gagnon did the Esther collage because of the inherent story and the truth of what life is all about. Everyone should remember the Story of Esther. Esther was the Queen of Persia. She had a secret; she was Jewish. She hid her secret from everyone, and then she discovered that the entire Jewish culture would be wiped out.  Although she had the power to prevent it, she was afraid to come forward as she may lose the throne or even worse, she may lose her life. Then someone said to her, perhaps this is what it is all for. Perhaps she was brought to the Kingdom for such a purpose as this. In essence, She Was The One. Sooner of Later, We All Become The One. We just have to say YES, WHEN THE TIME COMES.

JACQUES WEISEL - HUMAN POTENTIAL AMPLIFIED

JACQUES WEISEL - HUMAN POTENTIAL AMPLIFIED

When you look back at people’s lives, most times they reach the pinnacle in either their early to mid years. Some people in history have reached extraordinary heights in their later years. President Ronald Reagan became President of the United States later on in his life, at the age of 70.

Robert Frost, New Hampshire resident and Poet, reached the pinnacle of his life when he read a poem during President John F. Kennedy’s inaugural address in 1961. Robert Frost was 87 years young.

Jacques Weisel has had an extraordinary life and has been an example to the World in how to survive in this world. He teaches others through his coaching, his speeches, by his example and most recent his novel titled
9 KNOCKDOWNS…5 MIRACLES! Jacques Weisel is 79 years young. On the cover of the book is a painting by Jacques former wife Carol Morris. Her piece is titled REMEMBER US. The book is dedicated to his cousin Elie Wiesel, a Nobel Laureate. On the back cover of the book is my collage Jacques Weisel collage AKA Portrait of a Holocaust Survivor. It was my pleasure to do this art piece. The graphics of the book was done by Sabrina Fajardo, graphic artist of TLZ Graphics.

Florida Models and Florida Photographers VS the Outside of Florida

Florida Models and Florida Photographers VS the Outside of Florida
Originally, I was raised and brought up in the State of New Hampshire. I moved to Florida some 14 years ago. I have been fortunate to expand my photography into an art through my lifelong friends from New Hampshire and Massachusetts. I have also received some help from new friends out of Florida which some of which have moved to Charleston, SC, Nevada, Chicago, Atlanta, and California.
Florida though has another side of it. I have had considerable difficulty in finding models to work with and photographers to affiliate myself with. Florida is known as the scam capital of America and the educational system is quite inferior as compared to where I am come from. Currently, I work with four models out of Florida. One of which is Amy Vitale, another is Elina Sol and two others Alejandra Garrido (daughter of a friend of mine who is an artist) and Rosemarie Kimmelman. All of these people are exceptional to work with. Alejandra, who is only 15 years old has more on the ball than hundreds of models I have met with. Obviously, I give a lot of credit to Sabrina Fajardo, her mother, who is an exceptional artist herself. I have never seen the degree of unprofessionalism, crudeness, laziness and stupidity. Amy Vitale has heard the same from photographers outside the State of Florida, and I have heard this through photographer friends of mine out of NYC, New England, Chicago and Los Angeles. I was warned by Jean Renard, a former photographer out of Boston, incidentally the one who discovered Nikki Taylor, wishing me the best of luck before I moved here. Isobella Jade wrote about her Florida experiences in Almost 5’4”, which I recommend it.
Some of the behaviors I encounter are the following:* Meeting is planned for the interview and the model does not show up.
* They are unable to determine the established background of my work.
They actually never “Google” me on the internet or actually verify that
I am a registered “Corporation” through the State of Florida.
* Models disappear after I shoot with them to never hear from them again
even when I have agreed to pay them $1,000 for the shoot.
* Typically, a model will give some lame excuse as to the reason that they
could not make it or was not able to furnish a mailing address so that I
could send them a media kit to review my work and background.
Most of the models I meet in Florida do not amount to much. They are unfamiliar with the real industry; are unfamiliar with the resource directories on the industry and are repeatedly scammed. A couple of years ago, a model friend by the name of Camie met with a photographer out of Tampa which I cautioned her to check out his background. It turns out he was a registered sex offender. I should have known before I moved here what it was like. There was a famous story of a photographer by the name of Christopher Wilder, who was a serial killer of young models. He was attempting the escape the country to Canada and unfortunately he met up with his death from my home State of New Hampshire, where heroic State Troopers gunned him down. Wilder was from South Florida.
Florida is a unique place. South Florida, according to the Palm Beach Post is ranked 2 for mortgage fraud in the country. According to 60 Minutes, Miami is ranked 1 for Medicare Fraud. Until recently, people were coming to Florida to stock up on pain killers from clinics to supply drug trafficking. Florida was the home for Deborah Lafave, Casey Anthony, Bernie Madof, the Terrorists of 9/11, Allen Stanford, Scott Rothstein, the killers of Adam Walsh and Jessica Lunsford, and where COPS looks like a National TV Show. Most of the Child Predator shows are filmed here.
I hear quite a few stories of photographers that have acted as unprofessional as the models I have met. There is so many of them, that I believe this is why the models act so skeptical and unprofessional. Luckily, I have the support services where I can fly models into the State from other places. I have heard that many photographers make crude sexual advancements to their models, and many of them have been arrested for sexual crimes. Obviously, a model should look for the following to determine whether they should work with a photographer:
* Is the photographer a member of National Professional Photographer
Organizations such as PPA (Professional Photographers of America)
* Is a member of community based organization such as Chambers of
Commerce or other Civic Groups.
* Has been published or featured in the news because of his/her great
photographic works. A photographer should have been at least published
in newspapers, magazines, and brochures for local businesses.
* This is a pretty basic one; the photographer should have a corporation
which is registered through the State of Florida and can be verified on

Why is it like this in Florida?
1. It is a transient community.
2. There is an influx of many cultures in Florida.
3. Florida does not have a strong community base and people believe they can hide in the shadows.
4. Florida is fairly new in comparison with the rest of the country and it has grown exceptionally fast.
Florida does have some exceptional people though. It is not ALL bad. I have a couple of business mentors which have developed my banking career. In the modeling world though, Florida is not high on the list for professionalism, quality, and ethics. I seek for models generally outside of Florida. The people that furnish my model’s costuming (Costume World) are out Deerfield Beach and they are second to none. Marvin Tresky has handled the majority of my printing and developing here. I have found the quality of vendors here. You may want to check out my Florida Field of Schemes collage. It is quite enlightening on what occurs here.

Jennifer Ford – Nursing Student to graduate from St Petersburg College

Jennifer Ford – Nursing Student to graduate from St Petersburg College

Jennifer Ford, a Florida resident, has found herself in the news recently as she was interviewed because of her experience as a Juror for the Casey Anthony trial. There is much emotion that was definitely created by the press. Fox News, and in particular Geraldo Rivera, who you may remember committed the largest scam news in the history of the industry when you supposedly uncovered the Al Capone vault, stated that they would never have never have gone for the death penalty if Casey Anthony was black and that the case was merely political. Unfortunately, the truth is reversed.  Although the facts seem to point to Casey Anthony, there is no video tape or pictures of her killing her daughter.

What troubles me the most, is that Casey Anthony was never convicted of at least child abuse and child neglect. Remember, Casey Anthony never reported the disappearance of her child. It was her parents that reported it to police. In other words, if they said nothing, there never would have been even a trial. It is like the child never existed.

One of the Jurors was Jennifer Ford, a Nursing Student, who also went with the other Jurors and found Casey Anthony not guilty of Child Abuse and Child Neglect. The Jury deliberated extremely fast; as if they just wanted to get it over with and go home. Jennifer Ford is planning on going into Nursing; the helping profession. Nurses, as well as Teachers are expected and required to report suspected victims of child abuse and child neglect. Casey Anthony probably would not have served much time for abuse and neglect. It is more of the principal though. What type of Society have we become? People are asking me from other parts in the country, who are these people down here.

I would caution any medical practice, hospital, or any type of care giving facility when considering in hiring Jennifer Ford. She turned her head away this time. Would she do it again? A patient who sees this blog and another event should happen; would as a result be exposing the hospital, nursing home, or medical office to a lawsuit. The juror probably will not be a nurse and probably will figure out that she may have the opportunity in a book deal. She did not look distraught from the article. As a resident of Florida, I have become very tired of the recurrent stories in the past 10 years. From the 9/11 high-jackers that lived here and everyone turned their heads; the Adam Walsh and Jessica Lunsford murders; Deborah Lafave; Scott Rothstein; Bernie Madof; Terry Jones the Ocala priest; Allen Stanford; COPS is like a local show; Child Predator shows are done here; the Hanging Chads; corruption by Florida politicians; Mortgage Fraud; Medicare Fraud; the Priests that were sentenced for stealing funds from Church of Saint Vincent Ferrer; Christopher Wilder the serial killer who was eventually killed by the brave New Hampshire State Police;  and the list goes on.

I feel that children’s rights have been strongly impeded and the work that great people like John Walsh, Marc Klaas, and the Lunsford has also taken a couple of steps back. With such a profile case, what are the people of other countries thinking about us?

Elissa Montanti – A Glimmer of Light Showing in this Era of Darkness

Elissa Montanti – A Glimmer of Light Showing in this Era of Darkness

We are in special times of American History. The Space Program is being dismantled; substance abuse is on the rise; crimes against children is on the rise; programming on television is more in making television characters who are criminals as heroes (i.e. COPS, Prison programs, etc.); America is in a series of wars that have no real purpose; local government are falling apart financially; and countless of other occurrences.

Today, Judge Belvin Perry was part of a trial that found Casey Anthony not guilty for child abuse and child neglect. This ruling will become a Precedent that a parent is no longer responsible for reporting a child for 30 days. Child Rights have gone back to the pre Civil War period. In essence, Children are no more than property.

In all of this darkness, there is a woman who is living in New York by the name of Elissa Montanti. Elissa Montanti who is a friend of my Facebook page has created an organization Global Medical Response Fund (GMRF) which its main purpose is to aid young children who have become victims of war. Her website is http://www.gmrfchildren.org.  Children who are injured by land mines, gunfire, or other events of the casualty of war are helped by her organization. She and her organization have been featured twice on 60 Minutes. Elissa has enlisted a number of surgeons to help the children, many of them from Iraq and Afghanistan. There is an extraordinary group of people that are supporting her.  They are Our Troops. They identify the children that need the help and they send them to her for medical treatment. As all of you may know, I have showed my support for our troops in the support of Fisher House which houses families of our troops while their family member is receiving treatment in a VA Hospital (see http://www.forourtroopscollage.com/). I created a collage titled For Our Troops collage to show them the support. There are some people who shown their displeasure in Elissa’s organization saying that GMRF is aiding the enemy. Anyone who does not show support for GMRF is not Patriotic. Obviously, the help from our brave troops identify the children for Elissa’s organization to help. This story shows how ONE PERSON CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD.  I personally would like to meet Ms. Montanti and plan a future event for your organization. Perhaps the event should encompass both Fisher House and GMRF as it seems to be poetic. In a World that has so much darkness, there are glimmers of light that appear. In this case it is blinding light. Thank you to Elissa for your contribution to humankind.

CASEY ANTHONY CASE – AN EXAMPLE OF THE PLIGHT OF AMERICA’S CHILDERN

CASEY ANTHONY CASE – AN EXAMPLE OF THE PLIGHT OF AMERICA’S CHILDERN

The Casey Anthony legal case is the most recent example of The Plight of America’s Children. Children are the most abused minority in this country. Our political leaders do not care because children are not able to vote. In most recent years, I created a piece entitled WHAT OF JUSTICE? collage which focused on three families who lost their children in the most brutal of acts. The three families were the Walsh’s from Hollywood, Florida, the Lunsford family also in Florida and the Klaas family out of Petaluma, California. I submitted the piece to all three families to show my support for them. The purpose of the piece was to remind each and every one of each citizen that we cannot forget. Also, we should tighten and enforce our laws on people who inflict pain as well as kill our children. The piece was submitted to the United States Senate and of course it was denied. Not much as really changed in our laws as well as how we punish those who hurt the children of America’s families.

All we need to do is again is blink, and here we are all over again. An innocent girl in the Orlando area by the name of Caylee Anthony has been murdered.  The question is, is Casey Anthony going to be found of MURDER IN THE FIRST DEGREE AND SENTENCED TO DEATH. Child abuse is in on the rise as well as the ultimate abuse, DEATH.

Homeless Children is on the rise by some 20%.  It is reported recently on 60 Minutes in my own backyard of Seminole County, but yet our politicians keep on saying it is getting better. What is America going to do about this? The children of our country represent our future. If we do not protect them, our future looks bleak and America is finished as a country which has always be said to be blessed.

The Breakfast Club International

The Breakfast Club International –
The Networking Groups of All Networking Groups

There are many networking and mastermind groups in our community. What is unique about this group are its founders to start with. Steven Wain, local insurance professional and Marc Gagnon, local banker and artist, worked together some 12 years ago on the Davie Chamber of Commerce Membership Committee. They spearheaded the first chamber sponsored networking groups in the area there. The Davie Chamber of Commerce benefitted in a 300% increase in membership at the time. The networking groups grew to five groups, although the Chamber feared to hold the group meetings outside of the building which was their down fall which began the weakening of the chamber. The networking groups spread to Coral Springs Chamber of Commerce through Marc Gagnon, while Steven Wain began them at the Weston Business Chamber.  Ft Lauderdale was the next to entertain these groups.  The Breakfast Club is a combination of both mastermind and business strategic group aimed at gaining more exposure to its members, as well as affecting the bottom line. The Breakfast has only been in existence for 2 months since the end of April and the first group is already maxed out with others in the wing to begin a second group. The group intends to have after hour socials which will combine the 3 groups and will combine its efforts to give aid to the surrounding area for charitable endeavors.

Gagnon believes that this group could extend to New Hampshire and Massachusetts which is where his long time friend has given Gagnon resources to support his artwork. The resources given are some 12 employees that Gagnon has known for the past 25 years. He is also looking to extend the Breakfast Club to Charleston SC which his art supporter also has an array of support there.
